UN appoint coordinator abuse CAR

- A special co-ordinator of the United Nations given the task to look into sexual abuse by UN peacekeepers. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Monday former US Deputy Secretary Jane Holl Lute appointed to that task.

Especially the peace mission in the Central African Republic is haunted by allegations of child abuse. Ban the leader of the peacekeeping mission in the layoffs of violence between Muslims and Christians torn country and will send home 120 African peacekeepers.

Lute was Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security in the United States, but Ban was also already set aside in the past. She worked at the United Nations in peacekeeping missions and Ban advised on the People's Mujahedin of Iran, an Iranian opposition group in exile in Iraq.
