florida - 11-year-old Carlo Dorelli from Florida arrested and charged for threatening a mass shooting at two schools.

Carlo Dorelli, an 11-year-old student from Florida, has been arrested and charged for threatening a mass shooting at two schools. Dorelli is accused of making written threats related to a mass shooting, targeting his school, Creekside Middle School, and the nearby Silver Sands Middle School. This was announced by the Volusia County sheriff on Monday.

Authorities were tipped off by another student who reported that Dorelli had shown his collection of weapons and bragged about his kill list during a FaceTime conversation. During a search of his home, airsoft guns, fake ammunition, swords, knives, and throwing stars were found, along with a list of potential targets.

Dorelli was arrested and taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice. 'He says it was all a big joke,' wrote Sheriff Mike Chitwood on Facebook. Chitwood promises to publish photos of all minors arrested for similar offenses.
