Student aligned to Facebook

mardan - An angry mob lynched a student who had put allegedly 'blasphemous material' online at a Pakistani university in Mardan. Another student was seriously injured, the Dawn newspaper reported Thursday. At least 45 people have been arrested.

The two men were, according to an eyewitness suspected to praise the Ahmadi faith on Facebook. The witness said that a group of students surrounded one of the victims and forced him to recite verses from the Koran. The student was telling blows, but was rescued by the police.

The angry students would then have cooled their anger on other communication student, who was staying in a hostel. Video footage shows how seriously injured victim lifeless lying on a floor, while men kicking and hitting him with boards. He would eventually be deceased from a gunshot wound, authorities say.
