ankara - Four Turkish academics who were arrested on charges of disseminating terrorist propaganda are Friday released pending their trial, Dogan news agency reported.
The Turkish authorities arrested the four in March after they were publicly read out a declaration calling to end the security operations in the predominantly Kurdish southeast.
They were part of more than 2,000 academics have signed a petition for peace. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan later said that those who had signed the petition would pay a price for their treachery,, '.
