Still no vote of no confidence against May

World November 18, 2018 10:16

london - A vote of no confidence against British Prime Minister Theresa May has not yet attracted enough members of the Conservative party to be put to the vote. That was what the defunct prime minister himself said on Sunday.

The conservative member of parliament Jacob Rees-Mogg announced Thursday that he would submit a vote of no confidence following the preliminary agreement that May concluded with the EU on the Brexit. If there are another 47 party members in the House of Commons, the motion can be put to the vote. If the motion is accepted, May must leave as party leader and prime minister. How many conservative MPs have submitted a motion is not known.
