Scott Kelly swings down at NASA

World March 11, 2016 23:38

- US astronaut Scott Kelly, who almost spent a year at the International Space Station, will stop it. On April 1, he swings down at NASA, reported US space agency Friday.

Kelly began his career in 1996 at NASA and has an American record to his name by spending the most time in space. Together with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Kornienko Kelly landed safely on Earth earlier this month after he had remained for nearly a year in the International Space Station. That's the longest stay at the station ever. Other astronauts, including André Kuipers remained there about six months.

The aim of the mission of Kelly and Kornienko was clear what happens to the mind and body as one is long in space. It should help in preparing for a trip to Mars.
