Poachers kill elephant rangers

- Elephant Poachers killed in a nature reserve in the Democratic Republic of the Congo three rangers and two others seriously injured. Among the wounded was the Swedish manager Garambapark.
American soldiers staying in the vicinity of the reserve, the other Rangers have brought to safety. Last year killed poachers in Garamba although five rangers during three incidents.
Experts estimate that each year about 30 000 elephants on the African continent are being slaughtered for their ivory. The ivory is smuggled in most cases to Asia.
