- German Chancellor Angela Merkel makes Saturday for its unpleasant journey. Under heavy fire in Germany over its policy towards refugees and towards Turkey, Merkel goes to a refugee camp in Turkey. They visit refugees in a camp in the eastern Turkish Gaziantep. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu speaks with European leaders about the deal that the EU has concluded with Turkey on 18 March on halting the flow of refugees to Europe.
