Death toll continues to rise earthquakes Ecuador

- The death toll from the earthquake in Ecuador keeps rising. The authorities of the South American country have so far counted 602 dead and 130 missing, CNN reported Friday (local time). In addition, 12,492 people injured and elsewhere collected 26 091 people because their homes are destroyed. 113 people could be taken alive under the rubble.

A total of 6 998 buildings destroyed by the earthquake and 2. 740 damaged. 281 schools can no longer be used because of injury. Clearing rubble is still going to find in the hope of survivors although the chance, six days after the initial earthquake, more and less.

Moreover, the country is facing food shortages. There is hardly need water and there are medications.

Ecuador was almost a week ago for the first time shaken by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8. Then Wednesday and Thursday following new earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.2 and 6.0 respectively.
