johannesburg - South Africa's ruling party ANC reaffirmed after the crisis talks on Monday to stand squarely behind President Jacob Zuma. The opposition wants these resign because he was around 15 million euros spent public money on the renovation of his house. The Supreme Court ruled last week that Zuma's refusal to pay at least unconstitutional back part of the subsidy.
The South African Parliament meets Tuesday afternoon on the Zuma proposal, which has been in office since 2009, to drop off. The president expressed regret Friday for defaulting on repayment. His powerful party ANC found sufficient to continue to support Zuma.,, The president has apologized and shown the humility necessary for every leader, '' said Gwede Mantashe, the secretary general of the ANC, in a radio interview prior to the debate.
