Marc Dutroux writes a letter to victims

brussels - The victims and relatives of Marc Dutroux receive a letter one of these days in which the Belgian child murderer repents for his actions. According to his lawyer, who drafted the text with the approval of Dutroux, it is 'a mitigating letter, an opening.'
The letter is part of an intended request for conditional release from the now 61-year-old Dutroux, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2004 for murder, rape, kidnapping, torture and confinement. He was arrested in 1996 for the kidnapping of six girls, of whom only two, Laetitia Delhez and Sabine Dardenne, survived. The then fourteen and twelve year old girls were discovered in his house.
