A writer and bitcoin investor has hidden valuable treasure chests in five secret locations across the United States, inviting treasure hunters to embark on a captivating journey using clues from his book.
The hidden items, including gold, rare collectibles like a 1986 Michael Jordan card, diamonds, a sapphire brooch, a Pablo Picasso coin, exclusive Pokémon cards, and a rare moonstone, are collectively worth over two million dollars.
In the book 'There's Treasure Inside' by Jon Collins-Black, puzzles and maps provide hints for the search and lead to the secret locations. One of the public spots is said to house a chest containing access details for one bitcoin, currently valued at almost 100,000 euros.
Collins-Black assures that the valuable chests, one with the grand prize and four smaller ones, are not in dangerous locations and could even be found 'in the open air.' He left them during hiking trips, with one 'treasure' located within five kilometers of a public road.
Collins-Black, a former musician from California who became wealthy by investing early in bitcoins, explains his motivation for the extraordinary project, stating, 'I designed this treasure hunt because I live for adventure.'
