One crew member missing after freight ship collision involving toxic sodium cyanide off England's coast.
The remaining 36 crew members from the two ships have been rescued by the coast guard. One person has been hospitalized.
The collision occurred Monday morning when the Solong freight ship, en route to Rotterdam, collided with the tanker Stena Immaculate, anchored off the coast of England. The tanker was carrying kerosene for the US military. The Solong ship was reported to be carrying highly toxic sodium cyanide.
Thirteen out of fourteen Solong crew members were rescued. All crew members aboard the Stena Immaculate survived. Multiple explosions were reported aboard the tanker.
