A French prisoner managed to escape while on an outing to the Musée de l'Homme in Paris, accompanied by five fellow prisoners, five probation officers, and a prison guard.
On the return journey to the detention center in Villepinte, a suburb of Paris, they passed through the busy Gare du Nord train station where the man suddenly made a run for it. Despite the guard's pursuit, the escapee remains at large.
The escaped prisoner was incarcerated for a violent crime, but the duration of his sentence is unknown. Authorities are currently searching for him.
