washington - President-elect Donald Trump is moving quickly to fill top positions in his new administration, including appointing Elon Musk to lead a new department focusing on streamlining federal bureaucracy.

President-elect Donald Trump is moving swiftly to fill key positions in his upcoming administration, with the latest appointment being Elon Musk, the world's richest man, who will be tasked with overhauling the federal bureaucracy. Musk, along with another entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency, which aims to streamline the federal government by restructuring agencies, cutting through red tape, and reducing bureaucracy. Trump stated in a press release that this approach will send "a shockwave through the system."

Ramaswamy, a 39-year-old biotech entrepreneur who also ran for president in the Republican primaries, has emerged as a staunch supporter of Trump. On the other hand, Pete Hegseth, the new Minister of Defense, served as an officer in the National Guard in Iraq and Afghanistan before joining Fox News. Hegseth, known for his controversial past, faced scrutiny over his tattoos and personal life but has remained a loyal Trump supporter.

In addition to these appointments, Trump has nominated Governor Kristi Noem as the Secretary of Homeland Security, known for her tough stance on immigration. John Ratcliffe has been chosen as the new director of the CIA, having previously served as the director of National Intelligence during Trump's first term. Ratcliffe supported Trump during the Russiagate scandal and released confidential documents pertaining to Russian interference, though he later clarified that he was unsure of the validity of the accusations.

Speculation continues to surround the potential appointment of Senator Marco Rubio as the Secretary of State, awaiting confirmation from the Senate. The Senate must approve all nominations put forth by the President.
