Controversy Surrounding Mysterious Drones in the US
A recent investigation revealed that most of the mysterious drones spotted in the US last year were authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). These drones, first seen in New Jersey on November 18, 2024, sparked debates and concerns across the country.
White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt provided updates on the developments related to the 'mysterious' drones seen in the northeastern states, particularly in New Jersey and New York, in late 2024.
Leavitt stated that FAA had granted flight authorization for the drones seen in New Jersey and emphasized that the issue had escalated due to public curiosity.
Addressing speculations about foreign involvement, Leavitt clarified that 'This was not an enemy act.'
US Mystery Drone Controversy
The sightings of 'mysterious' drones in New Jersey on November 18, 2024, which later spread to New York and surrounding areas, caused concerns and were widely shared on social media.
The White House had stated that there was no evidence to suggest that the drones posed a 'security threat'.
During a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump commented, 'Our soldiers and the President know where these drones are coming from and landing, but for some reason, they are not commenting, leaving the public in doubt. They should provide an explanation.'
Following the incidents, FAA imposed restrictions on drone flights in more than 22 cities.
