Man Who Predicted Release Before 45 Dies in Custody Before Reaching Age
dundee, scotland - A man who predicted his release before the age of 45 after a brutal murder dies in custody just before that age.
In 2011, Tole was sentenced to eighteen years for the murder of 44-year-old Ronnie Fraser following a disagreement over a pack of cigarettes. Upon hearing the sentence, the then 30-year-old confidently stated: 'Good days! At least I'm still alive. Eighteen years is enough for me. I will only be 45 when I'm released.' Ronnie's relatives, present in the Dundee court, were shocked by his remarks, as reported by the Independent.
However, Calum never reached that age. He passed away last week in a Scottish hospital, with the police confirming it as a natural death.
During the trial, Calum Tole, who was addicted at the time, claimed that drugs in his Chinese meal caused him to lose control. When Fraser refused to give him a cigarette, he fatally stabbed him with a twenty-centimeter-long knife he had specifically obtained. A jury took only half an hour to find him guilty.
The victim's sister described it as a 'brutal premeditated murder.'
