German Intelligence: Russian Sabotage Almost Caused Plane Crash in Germany
berlin - German intelligence services revealed on Monday in parliament that a plane almost crashed earlier this year in Germany due to Russian sabotage.
German intelligence services disclosed on Monday that a plane almost crashed earlier this year in Germany due to Russian sabotage. In July, a package suddenly caught fire at a DHL logistics center in Leipzig. A cargo container then caught fire, but fortunately, the package did not ignite while on board an aircraft. The head of the German domestic intelligence service, Thomas Haldenwang, informed parliamentarians that the package, originating from the Baltic region, narrowly avoided disaster. According to the German press agency dpa, it is likely that the package was left behind in a distribution center due to a delayed flight. In September, German broadcasters ARD and SWR reported that two arrests were made in Lithuania and Poland in relation to this incident.
