united kingdom - Former nurse Lucy Letby, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the deaths of babies and attempted murders, has been questioned about other suspicious deaths.

The 34-year-old Letby was sentenced to life imprisonment in August 2023 for the deaths of seven newborn babies at the Countess of Chester hospital in northwest England. She was also found guilty of attempted murder of seven other babies.

Now, the police have questioned her about other suspicious deaths, both at the Chester hospital and at a hospital in Liverpool.

This is the first time the police have investigated suspicious cases at the Liverpool hospital where Letby had been on placement. Letby has always maintained her innocence.
