Denmark Grants Permission to Gazprom for Maintenance Work
Denmark Energy Agency has granted permission to Gazprom's subsidiary Nord Stream 2 AG for conducting maintenance work on the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline. The work is aimed at protecting the pipeline and will include specific maintenance tasks, scheduled to be completed between April 1 and September 30.
Following the announcement, Gazprom's shares surged by more than 3.3% on the Moscow Exchange. The Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, which transport Russian gas from the Baltic Sea to Germany, were left idle in September 2022 after explosions occurred.
