The death toll in the attack on a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany has risen to 6, according to the report from the German News Agency DPA based on the Naumburg Public Prosecutor's Office. A 52-year-old woman who was taken to the hospital as injured after the attack has passed away.
Previously, it was reported that 5 people, including a 9-year-old child, had lost their lives in the attack on the Christmas market by a vehicle, with more than 200 people injured.
Saudi Arabian-born doctor Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, who was detained after the attack, was arrested on December 22.
The investigation into the attack is ongoing.
