Anti-tank Mines Discovered in IKEA Warehouse
In a shocking turn of events, military-grade anti-tank mines belonging to the Polish army were found in an IKEA warehouse. The incident, which unfolded in July in Hajnwka, Eastern Poland, involved a failure to unload all the mines from a train bound for Mosty ammunition depot, resulting in them being transported across the country for 10 days before ending up in the IKEA warehouse.
The incident was brought to light when an IKEA warehouse representative inquired military officials about when the ammunition will be collected.
The missing anti-tank mines were traced back to the IKEA warehouse in Orli village, and were safely transported back to the Hajnwka depot. Following investigations, it was revealed that the Inspectorate General of Support Chief, Major General Artur Kpczyski, had concealed the incident from superiors and provided incorrect information in supply reports.
A comprehensive inquiry has been initiated into the matter, leading to Kpczyski's dismissal on January 9th on the Defense Minister's orders.
Polish media reported that Kpczyski's dismissal by the Polish Ministry of Defense was directly linked to the incident.
