Yuval Raphael, who survived the mass shooting at Nova music festival by Hamas terrorists, will represent Israel at Eurovision Song Contest in Basel. Raphael, an amateur singer, dedicated her performance to the angels who lost their lives at the festival. She expressed that music is crucial for her healing process. Raphael miraculously survived the massacre by hiding under a pile of bodies in a shelter until rescued by the Israeli army. Despite injuries from a Hamas grenade, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent her country on the Eurovision stage. The song she will perform is yet to be announced.
During the previous Eurovision edition, Eden Golan participated and finished fifth amidst criticism. However, the festival organizers stood by their decision.
