Hamas to Deliver Bodies Today
In the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, the bodies of the hostages killed in the attack are to be delivered today by Hamas. The youngest hostage, 9-month-old Kfir, along with his brother Ariel and mother Shiri, were confirmed dead in an Israeli airstrike at the beginning of the operation.
Israeli authorities have not confirmed the deaths, urging caution with unverified information. Hamas announced that the bodies of 4 Israeli captives, including the Bibas family, will be handed over to the Red Cross. Health Minister Uriel Buso stated that identifying the bodies and determining the cause of death may take time.
Kfir, taken when he was 9 months old during the October 7, 2023 raid, was the youngest hostage. The family expressed shock upon hearing Hamas' announcement of the deaths of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir. Yarden Bibas, Shiri Bibas' husband, was also kidnapped separately and released in early February.
