dublin, ireland - Nikita Ní Laimhín accuses MMA fighter Conor McGregor of brutal rape in Dublin hotel in 2018. McGregor denies allegations and claims consensual sex.

A woman named Nikita Ní Laimhín has come forward accusing MMA fighter Conor McGregor of brutal rape in a Dublin hotel in 2018. She claims McGregor and a friend attacked her after a Christmas party.

The mother of a seven-year-old daughter expressed admiration for McGregor, referring to him as a hero before the Irish court where the case is being heard.

McGregor's lawyer stated that his client is not an angel and revealed that alcohol and cocaine were consumed by Nikita and her attackers on the night of the incident. Despite initially returning to her hair salon after the party, Nikita later decided to invite McGregor over and was picked up by the fighter and his driver along with a friend.

During a ride through the city, cocaine was reportedly present in the car, finally leading to a hotel suite where McGregor allegedly raped the woman twice against her will.

Police photos taken later show Nikita with bruised hands and arms, as well as a bleeding scratch across her chest. She claimed McGregor nearly strangled her multiple times, leaving her fearing for her life.

Following the incident, Nikita went into shock and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. McGregor has maintained that the sexual encounter was consensual, suggesting that Nikita attempted to extort money from him by filing a police report later on.

A jury consisting of eight women and two men will deliberate over the coming weeks to determine McGregor's guilt and the possibility of him having to pay compensation. Reports suggest Nikita is seeking a £1.75 million damages claim.
