- All foreign aid funded by the U.S. State Department and USAID has been halted to evaluate efficiency and alignment with U.S. foreign policy.

U.S. State Department Confirms Halting All Foreign Aid

The U.S. State Department and USAID have suspended all foreign aid funded programs to evaluate their efficiency and alignment with U.S. foreign policy. The decision to review and reorganize aid is deemed a "moral obligation", emphasizing that expenditures should benefit the American people.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order shortly after taking office on January 21st, directing a halt to foreign aid payments. The order initiated a 90-day review period to evaluate the alignment of U.S. foreign aid programs with U.S. foreign policy.

U.S. foreign aid includes economic, social, technical, and humanitarian assistance to other countries.
