US Attorney General Plans to Release Epstein Documents
US Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that some documents related to the case of the late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison, will be made public today. Bondi mentioned that the released documents will include flight records and other critical records, emphasizing the need to protect the identities and personal information of the 250+ victims in the Epstein case. She expressed hope that the released information will shed light on the disturbing activities Epstein was involved in, describing them as 'disgusting'. Despite not confirming the inclusion of security camera footage from Epstein's residences, Bondi hinted at the involvement of another suspect in the case without revealing the name.
Background on Epstein Case:
- Jeffrey Epstein faced charges of sexually abusing dozens of underage girls, as well as running a prostitution ring.
- He was found dead in his cell at the New York Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10, 2019, with authorities ruling his death as a suicide, despite doubts raised by his family.
- Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of aiding Epstein in his illegal activities related to underage girls and prostitution.
The release of the Epstein case files earlier this year brought attention to the involvement of various prominent figures, with over 4,500 documents revealing connections between Epstein and individuals such as Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Ehud Barak, and more. Notably, the files did not include any allegations against Clinton or Trump.
