Turkey-Sweden Security Mechanism Meeting
A high-level security mechanism meeting between Turkey and Sweden will take place in Ankara, aiming to enhance cooperation in counterterrorism efforts and defense industry. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya from Turkey, along with Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard and Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer, will participate in the meeting. Discussions are expected to focus on additional steps against PKK/PYD/YPG and FETÖ, combating extremism and racism, lifting defense industry restrictions, and implementing the commitments under the Tripartite Accord signed in 2022.
