In an interview with Israeli television Kan, Witkoff expressed his expectation of concrete steps being taken to release hostages in Gaza before the presidential oath ceremony on January 20th. Meanwhile, Egyptian officials informed the al-Ahbar newspaper about the content of the talks held in Doha, stating that a ceasefire agreement lasting between 6 to 8 weeks is planned.
