Local media reports that a boat carrying tourists and crew members has likely sunk off the coast of Egypt's Red Sea, with 16 people rescued and 29 still missing. Search efforts, including the navy, are underway to locate the ship near the Shaab Sataya reef. Authorities received a distress signal on Monday around 5:30 am. Helicopters and boats are being deployed in the rescue operation. Reuters reports that 16 individuals have been rescued so far, with 29 still unaccounted for.
