Thousands of paying users of controversial influencer Andrew Tate's online 'university' have had their email addresses exposed to the public due to a hack by activists. The platform, previously known as the Hustlers University, has been compromised, with leaked data including registered email addresses and chat messages. The hacktivists claim it was 'hilariously' easy to access the information of the 800,000 users. Among them are hundreds with Dutch addresses, as reported by RTL Nieuws.
The online platform, charging fifty dollars per month for membership, aims to help 'like-minded' users achieve their 'personal goals'. Critics accuse Tate of promoting derogatory treatment of women to his followers. Tate, facing charges in Romania for human trafficking and rape, insists that The Real World has a 'large female membership'. The platform, based in Bucharest, is said to target young men according to Forbes. The former kickboxer is known for his anti-women and anti-LGBT remarks.
Last month, Andrew and his brother Tristan Tate appeared in court in Bucharest for a hearing. The brothers were arrested on December 29, 2022, on suspicions of human trafficking and attempting to form an organized crime group. They were detained for a period as part of the investigation.
