moscow - A 17-year-old girl, Milena Shevelyova, was found lifeless in a pigsty in the Krasnoyarsk region. Police initially thought she was attacked by a pig, but now the neighbor is a suspect.
Seventeen-year-old Milena Shevelyova was discovered motionless in a pigsty in the Krasnoyarsk region. Initially, authorities suspected that she might have been attacked by an aggressive pig, but it has now emerged that the girl's neighbor is a person of interest.
Milena had been out of touch for a while, prompting a friend to visit her on a Saturday. The friend was shocked to find her in the pigsty, lying motionless with multiple wounds on her head and body. Emergency services arrived shortly after, but Milena could not be saved.
Following an investigation, the cause of death has yet to be determined. The police initially speculated that Milena may have been attacked by a pig, as her parents mentioned one particularly aggressive sow on the property. However, the neighbor of the girl recently came forward.
A heated argument preceded the tragic incident, as reported by The Sun. Igor Zaika (40) clashed with Milena's father, allegedly threatening to kill all the family's livestock and set the pigsty on fire.
Unforeseeably, Milena entered the pigsty during the altercation. The neighbor admitted to striking her multiple times until she lost consciousness, then fleeing the scene and leaving her among the pigs. The animals reportedly bit her, leading to her demise.
Zaika has been arrested and charged with manslaughter. Vladimir Bedny, the victim's boyfriend, expressed deep sorrow, stating on social media, 'You will always have a place in my heart. Forgive me for everything, my dear girl.'
