Taiwan Detects 16 Chinese Warships in Its Waters

taipei - Taiwan reported the presence of sixteen Chinese warships in its surrounding waters, marking one of the highest numbers this year.
Taiwan stated on Thursday that sixteen Chinese warships were spotted in the waters surrounding the island. This is one of the highest numbers seen this year. The navy vessels, along with 34 Chinese aircraft, were observed during the daily count by the Ministry of Defense.
China is conducting its largest maritime exercises in years near the southern islands from Japan to the South China Sea, as per Taiwanese authorities this week. Approximately ninety Chinese warships and coast guard ships have been involved in the exercises. These exercises include simulations of attacks on foreign ships and the blocking of sea routes, said a Taiwanese security official on Wednesday.
