Suspects of Extorting Michael Schumacher in Court
wuppertal - Three individuals demanded 15 million euros from the former Formula 1 champion, Michael Schumacher, to prevent the publication of photos taken after his skiing accident.
Recently, more details emerged regarding the extortion case involving a former bodyguard of Michael Schumacher's family. Along with two accomplices, they possessed photos depicting the medical condition of the racing legend, known for his strong desire for privacy. Following a skiing accident in 2013, Schumacher sustained severe injuries. In a court document reviewed by Daily Mail last month, it was revealed that if the family did not pay the demanded 15 million euros, the images would be made public.
The 55-year-old Schumacher, scarcely seen in public since the ski accident, was skiing with his son Mick in the French resort of Meribel when the unfortunate fall occurred, resulting in a serious head injury from hitting a rock. As a consequence, he suffered significant disabilities. Schumacher remained in a medically induced coma for months and reportedly still struggles with speech and mobility. He requires round-the-clock care and currently resides with his wife on an estate by Lake Geneva in Switzerland.
Reportedly, the Schumacher family has requested the German court to keep details about Schumacher's health confidential. It is anticipated that the Schumacher family will not be present during the trial proceedings.
