the hague - A Chinese man suspected of the murder of a heavily pregnant woman in Haarlem in 2004 has been placed on Europol's Most Wanted list. The suspect, Jian Xia, is believed to be living in Spain under an alias.
A Chinese student aged 31 was found dead in an apartment on Boerhaavelaan in Haarlem. She had been strangled and was seven months pregnant at the time. Xia allegedly took personal belongings, including her bank card, and withdrew 1000 euros after the murder. Police report that he was last seen in the vicinity of Antwerp on December 21, 2004, but has since disappeared without a trace.
Europol has added 24 new names to the list, emphasizing that a single tip could make a difference. Among those sought in the Netherlands are murder suspect Sami Bekal Bounouare, as well as Jos Leijdekkers (Bolle Jos) wanted for drug smuggling, and Marco Ebben, who some sources suggest may no longer be alive.
