The storm Darragh, which hit the UK on Saturday, claimed the lives of two individuals. As a result of the storm, tens of thousands of homes were left without power nationwide. According to the Energy Networks Association, 177,000 households were without power on Saturday afternoon.
Train services were disrupted in Scotland, the east of England, and northern Wales. Additionally, 175,000 homes in Ireland experienced power outages, with flights from Dublin's main airport being cancelled.
