In Queensland, Australia, a 17-year-old girl was attacked by a shark while swimming on the ocean shore, resulting in fatal injuries to the upper part of her body.

According to ABC, the girl was attacked by a shark while swimming at Woorim Beach in Bribie Island, north of Brisbane.

Emergency health teams rushed to the scene following the attack, confirming the girl's death due to the injuries sustained. The beach was closed until further notice.

Witness Christopher Potter mentioned the presence of many sharks in the area, expressing shock at the attack happening so close to the shore.

This incident marks the third shark attack in Queensland, Australia in the last 3 months, highlighting the risks associated with swimming, surfing, and fishing in Woorim Beach.
