Severe Flooding in Wales Caused by Storm 'Bert', Storm Moves on to England

Southern Wales has experienced over 100 millimeters of rain in some areas. BBC footage shows residents of Pontypridd scooping water from their flooded homes. The River Taff has burst its banks, leaving houses and cars submerged.
North Wales Police reported Sunday afternoon that the lifeless body of a missing man was found. In Denbighshire, also in northern Wales, five adults and five children were rescued from a house that was engulfed in debris following a landslide on Saturday. Elsewhere in the UK, near Winchester in England, a man died on Saturday after a tree hit his car.
Weather experts say the worst of the rain is now slowly moving eastwards towards England, where the Midlands and the southwest could also face flooding. Over a hundred flood warnings have been issued in the UK. Yellow warnings for wind and rain remain in effect for West Scotland, Southern England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
According to PowerOutage, a data aggregator, more than 17,000 buildings in the UK were still without power on Sunday afternoon.
