united states - SpaceX's second attempt to catch a rocket a month after successfully catching a part of it has failed due to safety concerns, with the booster landing in the ocean instead.
The Super Heavy rocket booster was supposed to make another remarkable landing, similar to last month's when it was caught mid-air by two large arms of the launch tower.
After evaluating the flight data, the flight control decided to land the booster in the Gulf of Mexico for safety reasons. The upper part of the rocket, Starship, had a 40-minute flight and landed in the ocean as planned.
