The Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry stated, 'On Friday evening, an Airbus A-321 plane belonging to Russian airline Ural Airlines, with 236 passengers on board, had to make an emergency landing at Sharm el-Sheikh airport while en route from Sharm el-Sheikh to Yekaterinburg, Russia'.
According to the statement, the pilot of the plane reported a technical malfunction in one of the engines 10 minutes after takeoff. Following the technical issue, the pilot of the Russian plane immediately requested an emergency landing from the control tower. After the aircraft landed safely at the airport at 16:55 local time, all passengers were transferred to the international terminal safely.'
