lima, peru - Peruvian police officer dressed as a capybara successfully captures drug dealers in a unique operation on Valentine's Day.

Undercover Operation in Lima

In a movie-like operation, Peruvian police raided drug dealers in Lima with a police officer disguised in a capybara costume. The officer tricked the dealers by saying 'A gift from your Valentine' on February 14th. The raid resulted in the seizure of 1700 packets of cocaine and marijuana. The special narcotics unit, Escuadron Verde, led the operation, with unit chief Col Pedro Rojas stating, 'We tried to camouflage ourselves with the capybara character on Valentine's Day.' This unconventional operation is not the first for the unit. In previous operations on special occasions like Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day, narcotics agents dressed as Marvel comic characters such as Spider-Man, Thor, and Captain America.
