aleppo - Over 115,000 people have been forced to flee their homes due to intensified violence in Syria, particularly in the regions of Idlib and Aleppo.

According to a local UN official, more than 115,000 individuals have been displaced by the escalating conflict in Syria. The violence between rebels and the government army in Idlib and Aleppo has driven many civilians to abandon their residences.

Fighters from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) made significant advances near Aleppo last week, capturing a large portion of the city, as per observers. The group shared video footage on Wednesday showing their leader, Abu Mohammed al Jolani, at the famous citadel of Aleppo. He was seen touring the historic fortress in a car, waving to supporters from the open roof.
