One person dead as panic ensues on Swiss plane

A passenger plane belonging to Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) traveling from Bucharest, Romania to Zurich, Switzerland, was forced to make an emergency landing in Graz, Austria, as smoke engulfed the aircraft, leading to the tragic death of a flight attendant.
The emergency landing on December 23 was reportedly caused by an engine issue that resulted in smoke filling the plane during the flight.
The passenger plane, carrying 74 passengers and 5 crew members, was swiftly evacuated upon landing, with 12 individuals receiving emergency medical treatment at the scene. A flight attendant passed away in the intensive care unit of a hospital where they were transferred.
A spokesperson for Swiss International Air Lines expressed deep sorrow over the loss of their young colleague, stating, "It is with the utmost sadness and grief that we announce the passing of our young colleague at the hospital in Graz a week after the accident."
Jens Fehlinger, the CEO of Swiss International Air Lines, expressed profound devastation over the death of their valued colleague, saying, "We are devastated by the loss of our valued colleague."
