Norwegian Mass Murderer Anders Breivik Receives Two Guinea Pigs in Cell
oslo - Anders Breivik, the Norwegian mass murderer, has been given two guinea pigs and a number of photos of fjords to improve his living conditions in prison.
Anders Breivik, the Norwegian mass murderer, has been given two guinea pigs and a number of photos of fjords to improve his living conditions in prison. Breivik, who has been in isolation for thirteen years, previously filed a lawsuit against the Norwegian state to demand better conditions, arguing that his human rights were being violated. Despite his claims of depression due to the isolation, the court ruled against him.
The 45-year-old prisoner has three private rooms equipped with a television and an Xbox. He had three budgerigars before but expressed a preference for other pets.
In 2011, Breivik killed 77 people in Norway by detonating a bomb in Oslo and subsequently shooting dozens of people on the island of Utøya. He is currently serving a 21-year sentence, which can be extended as long as he is deemed a threat to society. A request for early release was recently denied by the court.
