seoul - North Korea blew up part of the roads connecting South and North Korea, as confirmed by the South Korean army. Tensions rise as Pyongyang threatens to cut off all connections between the two countries.

Part of the roads linking South Korea to North Korea have been destroyed by the Pyongyang regime, according to a statement by the South Korean army on Tuesday morning. Seoul had anticipated such action from North Korea a day earlier, with the South Korean army stating that they are fully prepared.

Last week, Pyongyang announced its intention to fully separate North Korean territory from South Korea by cutting off roads and railways. Furthermore, North Korea mentioned on Sunday that it is considering a 'declaration of war' if it detects another South Korean drone above its territory.

North Korea claims that Seoul regularly sends drones across the border to spread propaganda leaflets containing 'incendiary rumors and nonsense.' The South Korean army denied involvement in the drone flights. Locally, speculation revolves around activist groups that frequently send propaganda materials and American dollars across the border, usually via balloons.
