Musk, Zuckerberg, and Bezos to Get Honor Seats at Trump's Inauguration Ceremony
washington, d.c. - Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg are among the distinguished guests at the upcoming inauguration of President Donald Trump, according to reports.
Elon Musk (Tesla, SpaceX, X), Jeff Bezos (Amazon, Blue Origin), and Mark Zuckerberg (Meta) will be honored guests at the inauguration of the incoming American President Donald Trump, as announced by the American broadcaster NBC. The ties between the president-elect and the tech world are growing stronger.
"During the ceremony, they will be given honor seats on the stage, along with other prominent guests, such as members of the Trump administration," NBC reported, based on a source involved in the event organization.
The trio has been courting Trump for some time now. Musk - who generously supported Trump's campaign - will even have a position in the new administration. He will head a newly established ministry for government efficiency. Musk plans massive layoffs of officials, elimination of subsidies, and deregulation.
Bezos and Zuckerberg have more recently sought closer ties with the Republican. Amazon's CEO Bezos, who vehemently opposed Trump during his first term because he had awarded various contracts to rival Microsoft, recently prevented The Washington Post, of which he is the owner, from endorsing the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Amazon also donated a million dollars for the inauguration.
Meta also contributed the same amount. However, Trump had previously threatened to imprison Zuckerberg. About four years ago, in the final days of Trump's previous presidency, Facebook banned Trump's account after Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021. But in November of last year, Trump hosted Zuckerberg for dinner at his estate in Florida. It seems the rift between the two has been mended.
