Miracle Baby Born to Inmates who Met through Ventilation Shaft in Miami Prison
miami - Two inmates at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, who never met in person, managed to conceive a child via a unique method.
Two inmates, Daisy L. and Joan D., both incarcerated at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami for murder, developed a relationship through the ventilation shaft in their cells. Despite never laying eyes on each other, they communicated and eventually decided to have a baby together. "She is a miracle baby," stated mother Daisy.
Joan and Daisy never physically interacted due to their imprisonment. However, they found ways to exchange notes, photos, and eventually began a relationship. Joan expressed his desire to have a child, and Daisy resonated with his wish. Facing the challenges of prison life, Joan devised a plan to conceive. "Five times a day, I wrapped the sperm in household plastic wrap for a month," recalled Joan. He then passed the wrapped plastic through the ventilation shaft to Daisy, who used applicators to insert the sperm. After several attempts, she became pregnant. On June 19, Daisy and Joan welcomed a daughter. "I can't believe it worked. I think everything happens for a reason," exclaimed Daisy. "We never touched each other," stressed Joan.
Subsequently, Joan and Daisy were transferred to separate prisons, and authorities have initiated an investigation. Their daughter is being raised by Joan's mother. Despite only being able to see their child through a computer screen, Daisy remains hopeful. "I think she's going to be amazing. She's a miracle baby, a blessing," she expressed.
