valencia - Heavy rainfall in the Valencia region has caused widespread flooding, resulting in a significant loss of life and extensive damage. Military personnel and rescue teams are working around the clock to search for survivors amidst the chaos.

Heavy rainfall in the Valencia region has led to catastrophic flooding, with reports indicating that the amount of rain that fell in just eight hours is equivalent to the annual average. This has been described as the worst natural disaster in Spain in recorded history. Military personnel, along with search and rescue teams, are combing through the debris and mudslides to locate missing individuals.

As the region grapples with the aftermath of the severe weather, authorities are striving to find dozens of missing persons. The city of Valencia, situated on the east coast of Spain, has been particularly hard hit by the deluge. The death toll has climbed to at least 158 individuals, with numerous villages submerged in mud and vehicles swept away.

Despite a decrease in the intensity of the rainfall, the weather phenomenon known as DANA continues to bring heavy showers to the area. Weather warnings remain in place in the southwest of the country, with the coastal region of Huelva bracing for severe conditions under a red alert.

In a tragic incident, the bodies of eight individuals, including a local police officer, were discovered in a garage in La Torre, Valencia. The village of Paiporta has been devastated by the flooding, with over sixty confirmed fatalities. The sudden deluge from the Turia River caught residents off guard, submerging the town within minutes.
