washington - An armed man was arrested by the US police who was about to enter a Donald Trump campaign event with a fake access pass. Local authorities say a thwarted third assassination attempt.

An armed man was apprehended by the US police as he was about to enter a campaign event of Donald Trump with a fake access pass. The incident took place Saturday evening in Coachella, California. The Republican presidential candidate was speaking at a festival there. A man in an SUV was stopped at a checkpoint. Upon inspection, the police found a hunting rifle, a loaded pistol, and a high capacity magazine.

The local sheriff said, 'We have likely prevented a new assassination attempt.' The man in question, 49-year-old Vem Miller from Las Vegas, was arrested and found to be in possession of a fake access pass and a fake press pass. He was later released on a $5,000 bond. The suspect is believed to be a member of the so-called sovereigns. This movement does not adhere to government laws and regulations.

The man was arrested at the outer security perimeter around the Trump event. The Secret Service, responsible for protecting politicians, stated that 'the incident had no impact on protective operations.' Furthermore, the federal agency commended the local police for their action.

Trump had previously come under fire during a campaign event in the town of Butler. A gunman fired eight shots at the Republican in July. Last month, a man with a rifle was discovered by the Secret Service on a golf course in Florida where Trump was playing golf. This 58-year-old gunman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.
