Pointing out that 1000 firefighters were sent home under Crowley's supervision on the day the fires started, Bass mentioned that she terminated the fire chief's duty to ensure the safety of Los Angeles residents and the smooth operation of the fire department.
Temporary Replacement Announced
An announcement on the city's website stated that former Deputy Fire Chief Ronnie Villanueva will temporarily assume the position of Fire Chief.
Wildfires in Los Angeles
